My Toasty Toes box came to my doorstep by the lovely post woman this Saturday. And, I was the lucky recipient of the socks that Amanda made. She was also so so sweet and sent a few other goodies as well!
She sent a Fiber Trends sock pattern, some Claudia handpainted yarn, a sock bag (that I suspect was made by the fabulous Leah, Sour Patch Kids, Sour Jolly Ranchers, Newman's chocolate, soap, and some treats for Olive. She of course sent me some fabulous socks that she knitted using Socks that Rock yarn. They are so so fabulous and fit wonderfully! I was only able to try on one cause I can't reach my feet very well anymore!
I did wear them yesterday, we went to the Greater Gulf State Fair but Philip had to help me put them on! The weather was beautiful and we had fun walking around. There is never better people watching than at the fair.
I finished up the left front to the cabled sweater and it looks great and I cast on for the back, but not too much progress there yet. I also cast on for the sock pattern Amanda sent using the Claudia yarn which is fabulous! In the spirit of Socktoberfest and trying new sock things, I'm giving dpns one more try. Mostly because I've got another pair on my circulars and I couldn't find my long circular to try out the Magic Loop. I may end up switching to another method, but the dpns are working well for now.
Still no baby either, let's keep our fingers crossed she comes sooner rather than later! Her mother is getting tired of being pregnant!

Boxes travel quickly to you! I thought you'd get it today but nonetheless, I'm happy it arrived and that you liked the extra goodies I chose. I have some of that Claudia's Handpaint and am thinking I might use it for Sockbug's Lacy Scallop socks. Or maybe even a pair of Child's First Socks for me. Oh the possibilities!

The socks are, of course, lovely! I love that pattern. I knit it out of STR too and it does indeed rock! The color of the Claudias is delish as well!

Your socks are fabulous! Not surprisingly Amanda did a fantastic job. You got a nice haul as well; she sets a terrific standard that Amanda. I love the colour; they are vibrant!
