I joined the Fall Cable KAL and this is my first "big" project for it. Yep, the one that I ended up changing 3 times.
This is the finished left front. I'm really pleased with it, it is a pretty easy cabling project. I think it would be a great beginner cable project.
I started on the back, but not much exciting progress there. I always like to start with one of the fronts, that way I can get used to the pattern on a smaller scale. And, it is nice because it goes much faster!
I hope that everyone had a good Halloween yesterday. We had trick or treaters for the first time this year. In Auburn, they didn't go to the apt complexes at all. Princesses were very big this year. Olive had a good time and was most curious why all these children were coming to her house and didn't want to play with her. I guess candy is more important than playing with a dog!

I'm crackin' that whip on those cables girl! When I first read the title, I thought you said that this was a new KAL and I was thinking that pregnancy had made you take leave of your senses! Now I see you are just finishing up. Well, get going cause there won't be much Gracie knitting in the next few months!

I like your sweater and how puffy the cables look. And the color is great!

I tried that pattern, and abandoned it in my search for a cable pattern. Funny, I started with the left front of my Chicknits Twist so I could try the cables. Mine is in blue, too. Now the back is booorring me. I may have to work on a sock!

The cabled front is beautiful! I bet Olive was confused about not getting attention on Halloween. Hope our Saturday afternoon turns out well. War Eagle!

Yup, I was hoping to see a new baby post too! Those cables are pretty, Gracie! I'm a huuuge cable freak myself...I just love those thick Arans, and really enjoy working complex cable patterns. It's just so neat to watch the pattern evolve as you knit!

Just in case you've read this far, Gracie had her baby! Catherine Claire (still a girl) arrived Saturday morning (Nov 4, right on schedule). She's almost 7 lbs and 19 inches. Both Mom and Daughter are doing well.
